Backoffice and business consulting under one partner

Seven integrated service lines for middle-market companies and foreign subsidiaries operating in Brazil, from accounting BPO to corporate finance advisory.

PFM Associados is a backoffice consulting firm that takes on or supports a company’s accounting, tax, labor and financial functions. The practice combines dual-GAAP and dual-currency reporting, English-language service, and a team trained at Big Four firms, so business owners can focus on the business, not the paperwork.

Method

How does hiring PFM work?

Onboarding follows four steps: operational diagnosis, scope design, assisted transition and ongoing operation with management reporting. The full transition process typically happens within a single monthly closing cycle, without interrupting the company’s obligations.

01

Diagnosis

An initial conversation to understand your operation, systems, obligations and current pain points, in Portuguese or English.

02

Tailored scope

A proposal with the exact service lines needed, deliverables, timelines and owners. No generic package.

03

Assisted transition

An organized migration of routines and data from your current provider or team, with an obligations checklist.

04

Operation and reporting

A monthly routine with closing, indicators and check-in meetings. PFM acts as a business partner, not just a service executor.

Frequently asked questions

Questions we hear often

Yes. PFM serves subsidiaries of foreign companies operating in Brazil with English-language communication, dual-GAAP reporting (BR GAAP and US GAAP/IFRS) and dual currency, plus legal representation of the foreign investor through Corporate Hosting Services.

PFM’s focus is the middle market: subsidiaries of foreign companies operating in Brazil and mid-sized Brazilian companies that need an integrated backoffice, accounting, tax, labor and financial, under a single partner.

It can replace it entirely or complement it. Under the BPO model, PFM takes on accounting, tax filing, payroll and accessory obligations. In hybrid models, PFM acts as technical backup to the in-house team, with controls and management reporting.

PFM has offices in São Paulo (Brooklin) and Rio de Janeiro (Barra da Tijuca) and serves companies across Brazil remotely, including subsidiaries of foreign groups headquartered in the US and Europe.

The first step is a free diagnostic conversation to understand your operation and current stage. From there, PFM presents the recommended scope, from a single service to a full backoffice, with clear deliverables and timelines.
