The Brazilian entities that have investments from overseas have until this March 31 to update the information related to the net worth, paid-in capital and capital to be paid-in by each investor as at December 31, 2018, in the Foreign Investment Registry before Brazilian Central Bank (RDE-IED).
The companies that have assets or net worth lower than R$250MM are required to update referred economic-financial information only once, until March 31. The companies that have assets or net worth higher than R$250MM are required to update referred information four times a year, as follows: March 31 – Period ended on December 31 / June 30 – Period ended on March 31 / September 30 – Perriod ended on June 30 / Period ended on September 30.
Companies shall also update the registry anytime there is an event that brings changes to the share participation of the foreign investor (in a 30 days period). Delays, omissions and/or incorrect filings are subject to fines.
